This is a vertical sacoche. The concept is to "put only the bare necessities in it so that you can quickly take out what you want while hiking without hesitation." Because it is vertical, you can adjust the adjuster and pull it up to your chest so that it fits in front of your body, reducing interference with body movements such as swinging your arms and lifting your legs while hiking.
Production story
The sacoche I used for the first time was very simple: it was vertically long, had mesh pockets, and had a fixed shoulder length. I used it with maps, sunscreen, eye drops, behavioral food, and a camera. While hiking, I was able to take out the things I needed without having to take down my backpack thanks to the sacoche.
Since then, sacoche has become an indispensable part of my mountain trips.
However, because of its simple structure, there were times when it was difficult to remove small items. I groped around inside the sacoche but couldn't find it, so I ended up not using it. While hiking, it can sometimes become difficult to do small things. Sometimes the little things can turn into big hurts later on.
Being able to know what was in there and being able to quickly retrieve it was a necessary feature. If there are too many pockets and dividers, it will become complicated and you will not know what you put where. We aimed to create a sacoche with a minimum number of pockets, each with its own role.
Main pocket

TATE has a narrow opening, so there is only one zipper slider. It is equipped with a key hook inside, so you don't have to worry about losing your keys while hiking or looking for them in front of the entrance when you get home. The gusset is slim at 30 mm, so you can carefully select and put only the things you really need while hiking.
If you put too much stuff in the bag, it will become heavy and put more strain on your shoulders. Also, if the main body of the bag expands beyond the gusset, it will be difficult to put things in and take them out of the front pockets, so please be careful.
Although the material is waterproof, water will get in through the seams, so you should put items that should not get wet in a small nylon zip-lock bag or similar.
Belted pocket

A pocket with a belt for storing frequently used items such as smartphones. The buckle is always facing up, so you can operate it with one hand once you get used to it. The front is equipped with a belt (daisy chain) with two loops connected together, so you can attach light items such as bear bells, your favorite key chains, and sunglasses.
Although it is firmly secured with a double rivet (pin metal fitting), it may break if you attach heavy objects to it or pull it too hard. We recommend that you only use it to hang light items.
Zipper pocket

The front zippered pocket is convenient for storing cards, bills, coins, etc. The opening of the TATE front zippered pocket is narrow, making it difficult for your fingers to reach the bottom. Use a small zippered pouch to make it easier to take things in and out. It is not waterproof, so if you keep other items in the same pouch, you can rest assured that they will not get wet even in the rain.
Candy pocket

The front is equipped with a mesh pocket. It is convenient to put frequently used items such as candy, tablets, sunscreen, insect repellent, eye drops, etc. in it. The pocket is shallow so there is a possibility that items may fall out. Do not put anything important in it. The opening can be adjusted with the elastic cord.
Back pocket
Maps and other items can be inserted vertically.
Shoulder belt

The center is made of soft nylon tape 25mm wide. It reduces the burden on the shoulders when the weight increases or during long-term vertical hikes. The image is of YOKO. The shoulder belt specifications of YOKO and TATE are the same.

Option code
You can use it in various ways by utilizing the four eyelets on the top of the main body. There is a cord (string) attached to the left side, so please feel free to use it as you like.
For example, you can attach it by threading a light item such as a hand towel or glove through the cord and squeezing the lock. Make sure to attach it securely so that it doesn't fall off while hiking.
The grommets are firmly attached with gaskets, however, please be aware that the grommets may come loose if you hang heavy objects from them or pull too hard on the cord.
Care and storage instructions
If a thread comes loose where a stitching is sewn, do not pull on it. Instead, burn it with a lighter and press the melted part with your finger to stop it from fraying any further.
This sacoche is made of laminated and coated materials. It is vulnerable to moisture, so after use, dry it in the shade and store it in a well-ventilated place. The coated surface is prone to mold, so if you are not going to use it for a long period of time, we recommend taking it out occasionally and drying it in the shade.
If it gets dirty, wipe it off with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly.
