This DCF pouch has a 60mm(2.3inch) gusset at the bottom. It is the perfect size for storing in a backpack with First Aid and other items. The material is see-through so important items are easily visible from the outside, and the interior is bright and visible.

Production story

I have always used Ziplocs for my mountaineering accessories. But after becoming a bag maker, I began to miss that too. And I wanted to avoid using up plastic products.

DCF was the best material to replace Ziploc, which is easy to see the contents, and to be used with affection for a longer period of time. KANTEN is an evolution of Ziploc that is easier to use and more functional as a bag.

It is neither wide nor narrow, but wide enough to accommodate one hand.

 

Gusset

There is a 60mm(2.3inch) gusset at the bottom. It is wide enough to fit items. The shape of the pouch extends upward, making it easy to see inside. It also stands on its own when put on a flat surface.

 

Tab

 

The tab on the side with the zipper closed is slightly larger. When hung on a place with a hook, the zipper can be opened with one hand. It is just the right size to hold one finger.

 

DCF

 

DCF (Dyneeema Composite Fabric) is an extremely thin, lightweight, and high-strength film material laminated with Dyneema (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber). Wrinkles and folds will occur during sewing. With use, the wrinkles will increase and show tasteful changes. A decrease in transparency and shrinkage occur accordingly. 
This is the DCF 1.43oz pouch that I've used for 7 years.

 

 

Care and storage instructions

This product is made of laminated and coated materials. It is vulnerable to moisture, so after use, dry it in the shade and store it in a well-ventilated place.

If it gets dirty, wipe it off with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly.

*Depending on the material, wrinkles may occur during the manufacturing process. Also, chalk markings may remain.
